2009 Education Budget Reaches 20%

JAKARTA, Investor Daily Indonesia – The 2009 education budget is expected to reach 20% in accordance with the regulations in the Constitution. If this is realized, the president and vice president of the 2009 elections have to continue the program.

National Exam Pass Rate Decreases

There are schools with zero passing rates.

JAKARTA, Republika -The 2008 National Exam results from high schools (SMA) and specialized high schools (SMK), which were announced on Saturday (6/14), are not yet satisfying. On the national level, the passing rate decreased from 93 percent to 92 percent. A couple of thousands of students failed, some schools even had zero passing rates for several majors.

The Lateness of the Certification Disadvantage Teachers

New Subsidiary for 38.000 Teachers
JAKARTA. Kompas - The government is asked to be responsible on the lateness of certification test of almost 200.000 teachers in the 2006 and 2007 quota. The problem is that there are so many teachers that have been claimed to pass the certification, but have not received any teachers’ profession subsidiary that worth of one month salary.
